Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 2 eggs lightly beaten
  • 2 ripe pears peeled and thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt. Add in the butter and eggs and stir until combined.
  • Spread the dough into the prepared baking dish and arrange the sliced pears on top. Sprinkle with cinnamon and vanilla.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

The cake can be served warm or cold, with a dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.
