Old Hickory House Brunswick Stew

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs smoked pork butt cubed
  • 4 potatoes peeled and diced
  • 2 cups corn kernels
  • 1 cup celery diced
  • 1 onion diced
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Place the cubed pork in a large pot and fill with enough water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for about an hour or until the pork is cooked through.
  • Add the potatoes, corn, celery, onion and garlic powder. Season with salt and black pepper as desired. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm with your favorite side dish. Enjoy!

Notes

To ensure the best flavor, use high-quality smoked pork butt for this recipe.
