Place the cubed pork in a large pot and fill with enough water to cover the meat. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat then reduce to a simmer. Simmer for about an hour or until the pork is cooked through.
Add the potatoes, corn, celery, onion and garlic powder. Season with salt and black pepper as desired. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
