Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 250 ml all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup 250 ml sugar
  • 3/4 cup 180 ml unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon 5 ml baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon 2.5 ml baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon 2.5 ml salt
  • 1/2 cup 120 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup 250 ml water
  • 1 cup 250 ml chopped walnuts

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add the oil and eggs; mix well. Add the water and mix well again. Stir in the walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Cool cake before frosting.
