Pappadeaux Stuffed Shrimp Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound lump crabmeat
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup green onions finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • Garlic Butter Sauce:
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the crabmeat, cream cheese, green onion, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until everything is well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into 24 shrimp-sized balls.
  • Place the balls on a lightly greased baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes, or until they are firm to the touch.
  • Remove the shrimp from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  • In the meantime, warm the oil in a big skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Coat the shrimp in flour, then Fry them in batches in the hot oil until they are golden brown on all sides.
  • On paper towels, dry the shrimp.
  • To make the garlic butter sauce, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the garlic and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Serve the shrimp with the garlic butter sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
