Ingredients

cornmeal

boiling water

sugar

butter

Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch baking pan with butter.
In a medium bowl, whisk together cornmeal, boiling water, salt, and sugar. Pour mixture into the prepared baking pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until cornbread is golden brown and firm to the touch.
Remove from oven, and drizzle with melted butter. Serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes
This cornbread is delicious served with honey or molasses.
