Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and cook the grits according to package instructions.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until opaque, about 3 minutes.
Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly add the chicken broth, whisking until smooth.
Add the onions, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve the shrimp mixture over the cooked grits.
