Equipment

  • 1 bowl for mixing the dry ingredients
  • 1 bowl for whisking together the wet ingredients
  • 1 cup measure
  • 1 spoon or spatula for stirring
  • 1 9x5 inch loaf pan

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9x5 inch loaf pan. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl whisk together the egg, milk, and oil. Add this to the dry ingredients and mix until just moistened. Gently stir in the blueberries. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of muffin comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to finish cooling.
