Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup dried chickpeas
  • 1 cup dried fava beans
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic chopped
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint chopped
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Soak the chickpeas and fava beans in water overnight.

  • Drain and rinse the soaked beans.
  • In a food processor, combine the beans, onion, garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, black pepper, parsley, cilantro, mint, and flour.

  • Pulse until the mixture becomes a thick paste.
  • Shape the mixture into small balls.
  • Heat the oil in a deep fryer or saucepan.
