1 cup (240 ml) milk, at room temperature
For the filling and frosting:
3 cups (720 ml) whipping cream, divided
2 tablespoons (30 grams) granulated sugar, divided
2 cans (14 ounces each) pitted dark sweet cherries, drained and halved
Optional: 1 tablespoon kirschwasser
Optional: 1/2 cup (60 grams) chocolate shavings
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C). Grease and flour three 9-inch cake pans.
