Oh Snap! Cupcakes Gourmet Bakery

Oh Snap! Cupcakes opened on July 13th, 2010 selling out that first day!  Since then, we have grown in many ways, expanding our initial selection of 10 flavors to now over 40 cupcake flavors, including Gluten-Free and Vegan as well as branching out to include wedding cakes, specialty cakes, cookies, Drowsy Poet Coffee, G.S. Gelato ice cream and sorbet and other various treats.

About Our Name

Many people ask how we arrived at our name.   One of those late nights while waiting on another test recipe to come out of the oven, we were pondering what to call our bakery.  Sweet Spot? Taken.  Sweet Shop? Taken. The Cupcake Shoppe? Taken.  We chewed on our pencils, watched the oven and pecked desperately at the computer keys hoping that something magical would happen when we heard my then 11 year old son rushed past and muttered " OH SNAAAP!!! -- I forgot my...."

The word's "Oh Snap!...hung in the air and glittered over the laptop keyboard, mingling with the smell of Hot Mama in the oven....

And that is how the name for Oh Snap! Cupcakes was born,  As an aside, none of us remember what my son forgot to get or forgot to do, but - timing is everything!
